LYDELL J. "JONNY R" ROBERTS FOR CHAIRMAN OF RED LAKE

Boozhoo! My name is Lydell J. “Jonny R.” Roberts, and I have decided to run for Chairman of the Red Lake Nation!

I am a husband, father, and entrepreneur among other things. I’ve been working with kids in the community the past 17 years as a volunteer coach, previously worked at the Boys and Girls Club, a case manager in child protection, a Youth Care Specialist at the Children’s Healing Center, as well as working in the Red Lake School District. I’ve also worked at the Red Lake Gaming Enterprises, the Red Lake Homeless Shelter and at Red Lake Chemical Health Program for a short time.

Working for the Red Lake Nation in those programs over the years has given me an inside look at what our tribal members go through on a daily basis. I’ve witnessed the struggles our families face firsthand. I’ve also been fortunate enough to witness families overcome those struggles. Working with families that have invited me into their homes has always made me want to do more. Running for Chairman of the Red Lake Nation is my way of doing that; doing more.
